Colombia has strong roots in the coffee industry, as it was once the world’s largest producer of washed coffee beans. Annually, Colombia exports approximately 12.5 million bags and consumes 2 million bags internally. Coffee beans are produced in three main geographical areas, trisected by the Andes mountain range.

This is the decaffeinated version of our speciality Colombian coffee beans, which are decaffeinated by the renowned Swiss Water® Process. Swiss Water® is the innovative craft of using pure water to gently remove caffeine. The 100% chemical free process decaffeinates coffee in small batches.

Excelso Colombian Decaf coffee beans are large with a screen size of 15-16, second only to the Supremo bean with a screen size of 17. Colombian coffee is graded before shipment according to bean size, and Excelso beans accounts for the greatest volume of coffee exported from Colombia.

They are medium-dark roasted, producing a strong coffee with notes of red apple, caramel and chocolate. It’s a versatile coffee that can easily be brewed in a variety of methods, including a French Press, V60, AeroPress and Moka Pot.

I placed an order for 3 bags of coffee, but unfortunately I was sent someone else's order. I contacted customer service (Ben) who apologised and immediately dispatched my original order, which arrived the following day. That is fantastic service!

The coffee is excellent! I've tried 3 single origins, one of which is decaf, and all were delicious. Being freshly roasted they're easy to dial in and get just right. I'll definitely be buying again when I run out.

Excellent Decaff Espresso Beans

I chose this decaff option this time as I wanted to have my espresso in the evenings as well. Did not disappoint. I can't even tell that this is decaff ! I'm loving the notes of Green apple and smoothness of the espresso. Good clarity and complexity. This will be my go to decaff hereon !
